Frequently Asked Questions How much space is there for each person to work? Each person has a 4 foot table with overhead lighting, and an adjustable, cushioned office chair to work on. Do we have to clean when we leave? Grandma’s House has it’s own housekeeper, me! I do ask upon check-out that you strip the linens off your bed, gather the garbage into one spot and run the dishwasher. What if I don’t have a group of ten? Reduced rates are available for smaller groups – making it affordable for any size group. What about food for the weekend? Each group provides their own food for their stay. Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals. There is also information on several local restaurants posted at the house, some that deliver. Tell us about sleeping arrangements. There are 2 bedrooms on the upper floor of the house. Bedroom #1 has 2 bunks beds. Bedroom #2 has 3 bunk beds. Each bed is made up with a fresh bottom sheet and a pillow with fresh pillow case. What time is check in and check out? Check-in is at 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 2:00 PM. When available, early check-in and late check out can be arranged with the owner. How do I make a reservation? First, check the on-line calendar to check availability. If you find dates that you are interested in please contact Kathe, the owner, at grandmashousellc@yahoo.com. Once availability is confirmed you will be sent a contract packet. This packet includes everything you need to plan your stay at Grandma’s House, LLC. Once you book your stay at Grandma’s House, you have first priority to book it for the next year! What is the payment/cancellation policy? A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required within two weeks of making a weekend booking. The balance of the payment is due upon arrival at Grandma’s House. If you cancel your stay less than 30 days prior to arrival your deposit is non-refundable. If I want to shop for supplies where could I go? The Stamp Shoppe, Schofield; Micheals & JoAnnes, Rib Mountain What do I need to bring with me for the weekend? All you need to bring with is your crafting supplies, comfortable lounging clothes, towels, a sleeping bag, and a toothbrush. Why would I plan a retreat? Retreats at Grandma’s House can be for any reason. Most guests enjoy utilizing our large work areas for projects such as scrapbooking, stamping, quilting, etc. Who can I invite for retreats? Groups come from all different backgrounds. Invite your friends, family and organization members. How many people can be in a group? The maximum capacity of the house is ten people.
