What do I need to bring with me for the weekend?

All you need to bring with is your crafting supplies, comfortable lounging clothes, towels, a sleeping bag, and a toothbrush.

If I want to shop for supplies where could I go?

Scrapbook Studio; The Original Scrapbook Co; The Stamp Shoppe – all have links on the related sites page.

Do you have a waiting list for weekends?

We post all cancellations and weekend openings to the message board section of the website.

What is the payment/cancellation policy?

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required within two weeks of making a weekend booking.  The balance of the payment is due upon arrival at Grandma’s House.  If you cancel your stay less than 30 days prior to arrival your deposit is non-refundable.

How do I make a reservation?

First, check the on-line calendar to check availability.  If you find dates that you are interested in please contact Diane Schultz, the owner, at grandmashouse@yahoo.com.  Once availability is confirmed you will be sent a contract packet.  This packet includes everything you need to plan your stay at Grandma’s House, LLC.  Once you book your stay at Grandma’s House, you have first priority to book it for the next year!

How much space is there for each person to work?

Each person has a 4 foot table with overhead lighting, and an adjustable, cushioned office chair to work on.

Do we have to clean when we leave?

Grandma’s House has it’s own housekeeper, me!  I do ask upon check-out that you strip the linens off your bed, gather the garbage into one spot and run the dishwasher.

What if I don’t have a group of ten?

You may book a group of 6 or 4, and then you will share the facility with another group of 6 or 4 that I organize.  You may also visit the message board!  Here you can look for groups who have openings as well as leave your information so others can contact you. This is a great way to connect with other scrappers.

What about food for the weekend?

Each group provides their own food for their stay.  Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals.  There is also information on several local restaurants posted at the house, some that deliver.

Tell us about sleeping arrangements.

There are 2 bedrooms on the upper floor of the house.  Bedroom #1 has 2 bunks beds.  Bedroom #2 has 3 bunk beds.  Each bed is made up with a fresh bottom sheet and a pillow with fresh pillow case.

What time is check in and check out?

Check-in is at 3:00 PM.  Check-out is at 11:00 AM.  When available, early check-in and late check out can be arranged with the owner.
